Yanmar MINIMAX Engine (3TNM68)
The new Yanmar MINIMAX Series Engine ( named the MM series in Europe) is designed to be the diesel power solution for lawn and garden equipment, small agricultural machines, utility vehicles and compact generators. The 3TNM68, the first in the series released, is a 0.784 liter three–cylinder Tier IV compliant engine with Yanmar’s proprietary indirect injection technology to achieve low fuel consumption and low emissions. This ultra compact and high performance engine also employs Yanmar’s latest structural technology to achieve low vibration, noise and size.
High Power Density
With the new cylinder body design, Yanmar has been able to achieve higher output despite the compact size.
Compact Size
Due to the compact footprint, the MINIMAX is a perfect fit for applications that have tight space requirements and high, reliable power output. Furthermore, the universal base attachment design means that the MINIMAX is an easy replacement.
Low Noise & Vibration
High rigidity is achieved through incorporating the ladder frame structure in the cylinder block. This allows the MINIMAX to operate with low noise and vibration.
Environmentally Friendly
The MINIMAX incorporates Yanmar’s new proprietary MC type fuel injection pump to achieve low fuel consumption and low emissions. This engine is already compliant with EPA Tier 4 regulation.
Full Line Up
In addition to the TNV series the new MINIMAX series will be released first with the 3TNM68 to be later followed by the larger 3TNM72. Both engines in this series will be made in the Yanmar engine manufacturing facility in Shiga, Japan.
